Various figurative studies in graphite, charcoal, conte, pen and ink and oil paint. Amongst these are copies and studies from the Masters; Rubens, Michelangelo, Leonardo, Raphael, Francois Boucher, Andreas Vesalius, and from recent teachings from George Bridgman, Frank Reilly and others at the Art Students League of New York and other American Schools including Andrew Loomis. I’ve also studied the instructive books by Byrne Hogarth and Giovanni Civardi. Many of the Master copies are from Robert Beverly Hale’s book ‘Drawing Lessons from the Great Masters’.
Then there are some amalgamations of my own including influences and elements from those teachers into imagined (or structural) heads and figures.
